Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Puyallup Accident

A motorcyclist was killed in a motorcycle accident along State Route 512 in Puyallup early Tuesday morning. The accident is believed to have occurred sometime before 2:30 a.m.

The motorcyclist’s body was found between SR 512 and the 31st Avenue SW on-ramp after motorists called 911 to report debris on the road. When Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the scene of the accident they discovered the accident victim and promptly began performing CPR, but their efforts were to no avail. The motorcyclist was then pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim of the accident was later identified as Richard Todd of Tacoma. He was reported to have been traveling eastbound when he lost control of the Harley Davidson motorcycle he was riding. Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

State Route 512 was shut down for over two hours early morning as Washington State Patrol cleared the scene of the accident.
